Kia ora koutou,
Thanks to all those of you who have touched base and let me know where things are at for your family. I know many of you are happy to leave sending your children back to school until Monday and I support you in your decision to do this – a fresh week, a fresh start makes sense.
However, there are also those who need to be able to return to work, or to continue with the clean up without your ‘helpers’ underfoot, or keen to get things back to normal as soon as possible, so for that reason we will open tomorrow. I am grateful that our staff (some of whom are still without power) are willing and able to get in to school to ensure we Copen.
Buses will not be running so students will need to be travel to and from school with parents. Please let me know asap if you intend to send your children tomorrow so I can plan accordingly.
